Description of an artifact

Hook-shaped, made of a birch burl with a burnt hole inside, with brass edging at the ends. The cross section is round. There is an engraving at the lower end. The drawing depicts two colonists in national dress, facing each other. The one on the left smokes a pipe, the second (on the right) drinks from a glass, with a bottle in his hand. Below, there is an inscription, “1834.”
